2006 ND Breeders' Fund Awards

2006 ND Breeders' Fund Awards will be available to accredited ND bred horses who won, placed, or showed in races at tracks within ND that were licensed by the ND Racing Commission. Races must have been run for a purse of at least $1,000.00 USD, and if a claiming race, must have specified a claiming price of at least $2,500.00 USD.  Sires and dams of accredited ND bred horses, which are enrolled in the ND Breeders' Fund Program as broodmares or breeding stallions, will be eligible for a percentage of awards earned by their accredited progeny (broodmares - 30%, breeding sires - 10%) provided that the OWNER OF THE RUNNER APPLIES for and receives an award.

Only horses that are currently enrolled in the ND Breeders Fund Program will be eligible for awards. Owners of accredited horses who won, placed or showed at a licensed pari-mutel track within ND need to submit claims for Breeders' Fund Awards. The form (Breeders' Fund Application) must be completed and received in the Racing Commission office prior to January 15, 2007. Award dollars will be disbursed and sent by certified mail by March 15, 2007.
