Northern Plains Stallion Stakes Race Rules Distance:350 Yards - 2yr olds(400 Yards - 3yr olds) $10,000 Added 1.Open to all foals by donated stallions who were either bought at auction, or paid in by “owner.” If not sold at auction, the owner shall receive notice, they must pay the $200.00 within 60 days of sale “auction”. They shall receive a notice at 30 days and a reminder at 60 days if not paid. 2.$500.00 will go to the donator of the stallion, whose foal wins the futurity. This $500.00 will be held back out of the added money that goes to the purse, so that the NDQHRA will have the money to disperse. 3.No also eligible/no consolation 8 fastest times advance to the finals. 4.Reg. American Quarter Horses only. 5.Only 8 fastest times advance, 8 head in final gate, if a 10 horse gate is used, and the track desires to use a 10 horse gate, in the event only 10 horses remain eligible, ten horses may be allowed to run. 6.Pay out of race % 1st - 50%; 2nd - 23%; 3 rd - 13%; 4th - 6%; 5th/ 6th - 2%; 7th- -10th - 1% 7.Entry fees: Schedule See #9 The $15.00 mare nomination shall go directly to the NDQHRA and will not be part of purse. Of the following payments the association shall deduct 15% for administrative. Also the association Board of Directors shall decide how much of the stallion auction shall go into each purse, with the understanding that the association shall strive to make each futurity a $10,000.00 added and keep each derby at $5,000.00 added. 8.All nominations and payments must accompany a paid annual NDQHRA membership through out payment schedule of horse entered. 9.Payment Schedule ( + $30 Membership dues) Northern Plains Futurity:
Late payments are double the missed payment, provided the mandatory mare nomination is made, through May 1st. After May 1st, a $2,500 late payment + missed payments must be made to be eligible.

Northern Plains Stallion Stakes Auction The North Dakota Quarter Horse Racing Association holds an annual Season Stallion Service Auction. If you have any questions regarding the auction or Northern Plains Race, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would like to thank you for your support of the NDQHRA Stallion Service Auction. The following are the terms and conditions of the Northern Plains Stallion Stakes for the offspring of those stallions donated to the North Dakota Quarter Horse Racing Association and subsequently sold. 1. The NDQHRA auctions the breeding season to the highest bidder (bidding will start at not less than $300). 2. All foals sired by the donated stallion are eligible for this stallion stakes. NOTE: All Quarter Horse foals conceived in auction year by said stallion, and foaled the following year become eligible to be paid into the 2-year old futurity according to the nomination and payment schedule below. 3. If the stallion owner offers a return breeding, it is limited to one year. Any substitute mares must be approved by stallion owners or farm. 4. Once the stallion covers the mare and subsequently dies or becomes unfit for breeding, no refunds will be given. If the stallion dies or becomes unfit for breeding prior to covering the mare, the donee will receive credit at the following years sale. No cash refunds will be given. 5. A bonus of $500 will be paid to the stallion donor of the winning horse for the Futurity. 6. Daycare charges are between stallion owner and mare owners. All other guarantees not referred to above are between stallion owners and mare owners. The Northern Plains Stallion Auction Stakes Race will be run with an estimated purse of $30,000.
