About NDQHRA
Promoting and stimulating interest in racing and breeding the American Quarter Horse in North Dakota since our founding.
Our Mission
The North Dakota Quarter Horse Racing Association is a non-profit association whose purpose is to promote and stimulate interest, racing, and breeding the American Quarter Horse as registered by the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), in North Dakota.
We are proud affiliates of the American Quarter Horse Association, and we work to uphold the standards and traditions of quarter horse racing while growing the sport across the Northern Plains.
What We Stand For
Competitive Racing
We sanction and promote fair, exciting quarter horse racing events throughout North Dakota, from open races to our marquee Northern Plains Futurity.
Breeding Excellence
We champion the quality of North Dakota-bred quarter horses through our ND Certified Bred program, recognizing and rewarding local breeders.
Community
We bring together owners, trainers, breeders, and fans who share a passion for the American Quarter Horse and the sport of racing.
AQHA Affiliation
As an AQHA affiliate, we operate under the highest standards of the American Quarter Horse Association, ensuring integrity in every race we sanction.
AQHA Affiliate
NDQHRA is a proud affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association — the world's largest equine breed registry and membership organization. Our affiliation ensures that all NDQHRA-sanctioned races meet AQHA standards and that our members benefit from the resources and recognition of the national organization.
All horses competing in NDQHRA events must be registered with AQHA and in good standing, maintaining the integrity and quality that defines quarter horse racing.
